Home Value
The Key to House Hunting
House hunting can become slightly overwhelming. You might forget
one house from the next. You may get frustrated that you haven't
found your dream home or get so excited you lose focus.
Determining Home Value
After the final home selection has become clear, the next step
is to determine the value, or what other buyers have paid for
a similar home in the same neighborhood. Value is determined by
the following:
Sale price history: Previous home sales, or comparable
sales in your neighborhood, are the best indicator. Remember to
pay attention to trends in the area and any commercial encroachments.
Characteristics: Use a note book or camera to take record
the number of bedrooms, the possibility of adding more bedrooms
and the quality of workmanship.
